Frank Beattie captained Killie when they won the Scottish First Division in 1964-65, the club's only top tier league title. The midfielder made 422 league appearances for the club, scoring 34 goals between 1953 to 1972. Beattie passed away in November 2009 at the age of 76. 

Ray Montgomerie captained Kilmarnock when they won the Scottish Cup in May 1997, beating Falkirk 1-0 in the final at Ibrox. The defender made over 300 appearances for Killie between 1988 and 1999. 

James Fowler celebrates Kilmarnock winning the Scottish League Cup in March 2012 - Killie pulled off a shock win by beating Celtic 1-0 at Hampden Park. 

Brad Lyons will be Killie captain for the 2025-26 season. The Northern Irish midfielder arrived at Rugby Park in 2021 following the expiration of his contract at Blackburn Rovers - Lyons helped the club win promotion back to the Scottish Premiership at the first attempt in the 2021-22 season. He has made over 100 appearances for the Ayrshire club.
